The Buckeye PD Squad 6

This time instead of something negative we want to highlight those in public safety in a more positive light for a change.

I have noticed on the Buckeye Town websites home page there is a picture of a group of police officers known as "Squad 6" along with some over their most recent successful crime statistics for the past year and comments from the officers.

Since I am on the Board of Directors for our community I have had the need to work with some of these officers on occasion over the last year. With their assistance we have been able to keep our community safe as well as graffiti and drug free. As a result of their dedication to our community and the town of Buckeye overall, I commend these Seven Officers on a job well done on the behalf of my Community and the Citizens For A Better Buckeye.

Always remember our Police Officers put their lives at risk everyday in order to keep the Citizens of this Town and its Communities Safe. It is the responsibility of each and everyone of us to notify our Police Department if you are witnessing or have any information on a crime which has already been committed. The most effective way to contact the department is to call (623)349-6400 a Non-emergency number.

Reported by AZ Republic Recall unlikely to hinder stimulus money to Buckeye

As a result of the most recent artice published on 4/142009 written by Buckeye reporter Eric Graph of the AZ Republic, seems that Mayor Meck may not have been telling the Truth, The Whole Truth and nothing but The Truth!

Once again the AZ Republic's staff does an incredible job to find TRUTH.

Citizens of Buckeye Question Councilman McAchran's Blog Response

Our group has challenged Councilman McAchran on many fronts and as we have always stated we will release further incriminating information when the time is right. However over the weekend I was surfing the web and vistied his blog. Not to my surprise I found the response he made to a citizen of the town which clearly demonstrates he has no clue about what is best for this town.

The following is a snippet from his response;

Concerned Citizen,

I appreciate your candor and comments. I have never supported doing a national search for a ‘professional’ town manager. I have spoken with citizens of Buckeye prior to and following the election about this fact.

I have known many town/city managers. It has been my experience that the successful managers are persons who have an institutional knowledge of the community. I believe in hiring the best department heads and growing them into management of the community.

I have seen time and time again the failure of bringing someone in from the outside for this leadership position. I would invite you to come to a Town Hall meeting to better discuss this.

The problem I see with his comments are;

1. He has never supported a National search for a Professional Town Manager. Please keep in mind this was a top priority during his Campaign. (It was also Mayor Mecks top priority as well)

2. How could he have known many town/city managers? (a)he's not that old and (b) his employment history as per his self only shows Farmington NM and Buckeye AZ.

3. My comment in # 2 applies to him seeing time and time again the failures of bringing in someone from the outside.

4. In close this comment brings to light a very intersting question. Since the towns employment board requires all applicants to have a College Degree and that our Town Manager only has a High School education. Is this a form of discrimination or is it just the Dark Side stacking the deck?

In addition to the CFABB claims that Councilman McAchran is in violatin of Conflict of Interest, based on his comments above the CFABB are now also questioning his abilities to make the proper decisions in the best interest of Buckeye.

We would invited all to comment on this post.
